Exhibit A
Accountants work in Palmdale
Palmdale is a city of around 170,000 people spread across the Antelope Valley, and the accounting work here follows the households and small businesses that fill it. Much of the demand comes from owner operators: contractors, trucking outfits, landscapers, retail shops along Palmdale Boulevard and Rancho Vista, and the self employed who file Schedule C every spring. The searches are local and practical, people looking for bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll help and someone who knows California rules for a business run out of a house or a yard. The firms competing for that attention are mostly small practices and solo CPAs, with a few franchise tax offices mixed in around the retail corridors. Demand is steady through the year and sharpens in filing season, when people who have moved to the valley or started a business in the past year go looking for the first time.
