Exhibit A
Accountants work in Savannah
Savannah's accounting demand is shaped by a small business base and a steady stream of people who need a return filed. The city has a long tail of small firms and sole practitioners rather than a handful of large ones, so the searches spread across many names and many neighbourhoods. Much of the paid search in this trade is bought by tax preparation chains and franchise offices, which bid on the seasonal filing terms. The owner operator firms compete on local terms, the kind that carry a place name. That is the demand available: a wide field of local searches, a franchise presence on the paid side, and room for a firm that publishes consistently to be found for the questions people type before they call.
