Bakeries work in Gresham
Gresham is a working city east of Portland, and its bakery trade runs on the same rhythm as the neighbourhoods around it. The demand comes from people searching close to home: a cake for a birthday, a dozen rolls for a Saturday morning, a loaf on the way to work. Historic downtown Gresham and the corridors along East Powell and Burnside carry most of the foot traffic, and the searches follow that foot traffic. Owner operators make up most of the trade here, with a few small local groups running more than one counter. The searches are local and they are specific, which means a bakery that publishes pages for the neighbourhoods and the occasions it actually serves has room to be found.
