Carpenters

Automatic Indexing for Carpenters

A sitemap on your own domain, kept up to date as each post goes live, with robots.txt pointing at it. New posts get found without you submitting anything.

The phrases your customers type, not the ones you use

Carpenters talk about first fix, second fix, studwork and carcassing. Customers do not. They type things like fitted wardrobes near me, how much to hang a door, or who can fix a squeaky floor. HaloSEO researches the words people actually search in your area and writes posts around those. The trade vocabulary can appear in the post, but the post is built to answer the question a customer typed at eleven at night.

A worked example

Say you work around a town with a lot of older terraced housing. A post could be titled How much does it cost to replace a staircase in an older terraced house. It would walk through what changes the price, what a survey might turn up, and what the job involves day by day. It would not quote a figure we have not measured. It would end with a clear way to get in touch. That post then sits on your site, gets linked from related posts, and the sitemap updates the moment it goes live.

What local intent means for carpentry

Most carpentry searches carry a place in them, or a radius the search engine infers. Someone searching for a joiner is usually looking for one they can call out, not one three counties away. That means the posts need the place names your customers use, the towns and suburbs you actually cover, and the kind of property common in each. A post about fitting a door in a new build is a different job from the same post about a Victorian terrace. Local intent is mostly about the building stock and the travel distance, not about repeating a town name.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want leads this week. Publishing and indexing take time, and we do not control search engines, so we cannot promise a position, a traffic number or a date. It is not right for a business with no website, or one that cannot take on more work. It is also not right if you want to approve every word before it goes out, because the platform publishes on its own. And it will not help if you are looking for a tool that pings Google or submits URLs to Search Console. We do neither. We keep the sitemap current and point robots.txt at it, and that is the whole of it.
