Competitor Tracking for Ecommerce
HaloSEO watches which sites rank for your subjects and what pages they have. It turns the gap into planned articles for your store.
The phrases your customers type
Shoppers do not search the way the trade talks. They type what they want to buy, what problem they have, and what they are comparing. They do not type your internal category names or the words your supplier uses on the invoice. HaloSEO looks at the subjects your store covers and checks which sites rank for them. It also checks what pages those sites have. The gap between what ranks and what you have becomes the next set of subjects to write about. The output is a plan of articles, not a report to read.
A worked example
Say you sell garden furniture. A competitor ranks for pages about storing a wooden table over winter, cleaning teak, and choosing a cover size. You have product pages but nothing that answers those questions. HaloSEO would plan a post on how to store a wooden garden table over winter, covering cleaning before storage, cover sizing and where to keep it. The post links to the tables and covers you sell. That is the shape of the output: a subject, an article, and links back to the products it mentions.
What local intent means for a store
For ecommerce, local intent is narrower than it looks. Some shoppers want a shop they can walk into, and some want delivery to their area. Searches that name a town or a region often sit next to a product term. HaloSEO treats those as subjects like any other. It checks which sites rank for them and what pages they have. If the ranking pages are local guides or store pages, that tells you what kind of page the subject needs. We do not promise a position for any of these searches.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want a dashboard to read. HaloSEO does not produce one. The output is the next set of subjects, and if you want charts and competitor scores to study, this is the wrong tool. It is also not right if you want to approve every word before it goes out, or if you sell nothing online and have no product pages to link to. And it is not right if you need a ranking, a traffic number or a date promised in advance. We do not control search engines and we will not claim what we have not measured.
