Exhibit A
Estate Planning work in Spokane
Spokane has a steady base of estate planning demand. The county's population is older than the national average, and the Inland Northwest draws retirees who move here from other states and need their documents redone for Washington. Searches come from people planning ahead and from people who have just lost a parent and need probate help. The firms competing for those searches are mostly small owner operated practices, a handful of multi lawyer firms, and a few regional banks and trust companies that advertise estate services. Paid search on the core terms is active but not crowded, and most of the spend sits on probate and trust administration rather than on plain will drafting. Franchises have little presence in this trade in Spokane. The demand is there across the metro and across the income range, from South Hill households to people with land in the surrounding counties.
