Exhibit A
Family Lawyers work in Bakersfield
Bakersfield family law searches come from a wide spread of households across the city and the oilfield towns around it. The searches are mostly local and mostly urgent: divorce, custody, child support, restraining orders, and questions about splitting a house or a pension. Paid search on these terms is expensive because a single case is worth a lot, so the paid slots at the top of the results are contested and the organic results below them are where steady publishing pays off. The firms competing for the work range from solo attorneys working out of small offices on Truxtun and Chester to larger practices with several attorneys. Kern County's family law calendar runs through the courthouse downtown, and much of the demand is people who have never hired a lawyer before and are typing the question into their phone the same evening.
