Exhibit A
Financial Advisors work in Baltimore
Baltimore has a deep bench of financial advice. The large brokerages and bank advisory arms sit downtown around the Inner Harbor and Harbor East, and a long tail of independent registered investment advisers and small planning firms works out of the neighbourhoods and the county. Search demand follows the money in the region: retirement planning, rollover advice, tax planning and college savings queries come from households in the city and from the wealthier suburbs to the north. Paid search in this trade is expensive because a single client is worth a lot, so the firms with budgets bid hard on the head terms. That leaves steady room in the longer, more specific searches for a firm that publishes useful pages of its own.
