Exhibit A
Lawyers work in Berkeley
Berkeley holds a steady demand for legal work. The city has a large student and university population, a dense rental market and a long stock of older houses, and each of those brings its own legal questions. Searches come from people renting near campus, from owners of older homes in the flats and the hills, and from small businesses along the commercial corridors. The firms competing for that demand are mostly small practices and solo attorneys rather than national chains, so the searches tend to be local and specific. Paid search in the city is active around the terms that carry real intent, which tells you people are searching with a purpose and not browsing.
