Exhibit A
Private Investigators work in New York
New York holds one of the largest concentrations of licensed private investigation firms in the country, spread across the five boroughs and the counties around them. The searches come from law firms checking on a matter, from businesses running pre employment and due diligence checks, from insurers, and from people with a family or personal reason to hire. Much of the trade in the city is small owner operator firms, often one or two licensed investigators working from an office or from home, alongside a smaller number of larger agencies serving corporate and legal clients. Paid search in this trade in New York is expensive because a single case can be worth a lot, so firms bid on the obvious terms and the organic results underneath carry steady attention. The demand is there every week of the year, in every borough, and it is searched in plain language by people who do not yet know which firm to call.
