Private Schools
Automatic Indexing for Private Schools
New posts on your school site should be found without anyone remembering to submit them. HaloSEO keeps a sitemap on your own domain up to date and points robots.txt at it.
The phrases parents actually type
Parents do not search for enrolment funnel optimisation or independent school provision. They type things like private school near me, fee paying school in [town], small class sizes primary school, school open day this term, prep school for September entry, and private secondary school with bus route. They also search by worry: is private school worth it, how much are private school fees, and private school with learning support. HaloSEO researches the words your parents use, not the words your sector uses, and writes posts around them.
A worked example
Say you run a prep school and you have an open morning in the autumn term. HaloSEO might publish a post titled What Happens at Our Autumn Open Morning, covering the arrival time, what parents see in a classroom, who they meet, and how to book. It would link that post to your admissions page and your fees page, and link those pages back to it. The post goes live on your site, the sitemap on your domain updates, and robots.txt already points at it. Nobody has to submit anything.
What local intent means for a school
For a private school, local intent is mostly about the school run. Parents filter by distance, by commute, by catchment for the bus, and by which villages or suburbs are within reach. A post about the morning drop off, the bus route, or the roads parents use to get to you speaks to that directly. So does a post about a nearby town, written for families who live there and are weighing the drive. These are the searches where a school can be genuinely useful, and where a page that answers the question plainly does better than a page that repeats the prospectus.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for a school that wants guaranteed rankings, a set position, or a date when traffic will rise. We do not control search engines and we will not promise any of that. It is not right for a school with no website, or one where nobody can approve posts before they go live. It is also not right if you need URL submission to Search Console, IndexNow, or a ping to Google. We do none of those. What we do is keep a sitemap on your own domain current, with robots.txt pointing at it, so new posts are found without anybody submitting them.
