Restaurants work in Denton
Denton is a college city with two universities in it, and that shapes the restaurant demand. Searches come from students looking for cheap eats near campus, from families in the neighbourhoods around the Square, and from people passing through on the interstate. The Square and the streets off it carry a lot of the dining trade, and the corridor along University Drive and the Loop 288 side of town carries the chains and the fast casual. Owner operators and small local groups hold most of the independent dining in the city, with franchises concentrated on the highway frontage. Paid search in this trade is bid on by both, and the local intent is strong because people search for a place to eat within a short drive of where they already are.
