Tax Preparers
WordPress Integration for Tax Preparers
HaloSEO connects to your WordPress site once and publishes finished posts to it. The posts go out as normal posts, in your own theme, on your own domain.
The words your clients type, not the words the trade uses
Tax preparers tend to write for each other. The posts talk about filing status, adjusted gross income and e filing mandates. That is not what most people type into Google. They type things like how much does it cost to file my taxes, can I claim my laptop as a work expense, what happens if I file late, or do I need to bring my W2 to an accountant. HaloSEO researches the phrases people actually search in your area and writes posts around those. The trade language can appear inside the post. The title and the opening lines should match the question the client is asking.
A worked example
Say you prepare returns in a mid sized town and a lot of your clients are self employed. HaloSEO might publish a post titled Can I claim my home office if I rent. The post would explain the rule in plain English, cover the difference between a dedicated room and a corner of the kitchen, list the records to keep, and note when to ask a preparer. It would link to your services page and to a related post on mileage records. It publishes to your WordPress site as a normal post, in your theme, under your domain. You can edit it or delete it like any other post.
What local intent means for a tax preparer
Most tax searches carry a place. People search for a tax preparer near me, or they name the town, or they name a suburb next to yours. They also search by season, with a spike from January to April and a smaller one around extension deadlines. Local intent for a tax preparer means the post should name the area you serve, mention the deadlines that apply where you are, and answer the question a person in that place would ask. A post about state filing rules for your state will do more for you than a general post about federal filing.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want a blog hosted somewhere else. HaloSEO publishes to your WordPress site and does not host the blog for you. It is not right for you if you want a plugin to install and maintain, because there is no plugin. It is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a traffic number or a date, because nobody controls search engines and we will not promise one. It is also not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live and will not accept a draft you did not write.
