Connect Shopify

Connect your Shopify store to HaloSEO and the platform takes over the research, the writing, the publishing, the internal links and the backlinks from one place.

Start the connection

Open HaloSEO and go to the connections screen. Choose Shopify from the list of platforms. The screen asks for your store address, so type the domain of your Shopify store and select Continue. HaloSEO then sends you to Shopify to approve the connection.

Approve the connection in Shopify

Shopify shows you a screen that lists what HaloSEO will be able to do with your store. Read the list, then select Install app. Shopify returns you to HaloSEO, and the connections screen shows your store with a connected status. From that point HaloSEO can publish posts to your store and link them up.

Set your publishing details

The next screen asks where posts should go. Pick the blog and the author you want on each post, then choose how HaloSEO should handle images. Select Save and the settings are stored against your store. You can come back to this screen at any time and change any of these choices.

Let HaloSEO run

With the store connected, HaloSEO researches the keywords, writes the posts, publishes them to your Shopify blog, links them up and builds the backlinks. The dashboard shows each post as it moves through those stages, so you can see what has gone out and what is in progress. Your store stays the place where the content lives.

If a step needs a second attempt

If the approval screen in Shopify does not return you to HaloSEO, go back to the connections screen and select Shopify again. The screen picks up where the connection stopped and asks you to approve it once more. If the store shows as connected but posts do not appear, open the publishing details screen, confirm the blog and author, and select Save. HaloSEO then retries the publish on its next run, and the dashboard shows the post move forward.
