Connect WordPress
Connecting your WordPress site is the first step. Once it is connected, HaloSEO can research keywords, write posts, publish them and link them up on your site.
Before you start
You need your WordPress site address and a login that can publish posts. Have those ready before you open the connect screen. The whole step takes a few minutes and you only do it once per site.
Step one: open the connect screen
In HaloSEO, go to the sites area and choose Connect WordPress. The screen asks for your site address. Type the full address of your WordPress site, including the part after the dot, then select Continue.
Step two: approve the connection
The screen shows a button that takes you to your WordPress site to approve the connection. Log in to WordPress if it asks you to. On the approval screen, select Approve. WordPress then sends you back to HaloSEO and the screen shows your site name with a connected label.
Step three: confirm the site details
HaloSEO shows the site name, the address and the account it will publish with. Check these are right. Select Finish and the site appears in your list with a status of connected. From here HaloSEO can research keywords, write posts, publish them and link them up on your site.
If a step needs a second attempt
If the approval screen does not load, go back to the connect screen in HaloSEO and select Connect WordPress again. If WordPress sends you back but the screen still shows not connected, select Refresh on that screen. If the site address was typed wrong, select Edit, correct the address and run the steps again. Each attempt starts clean, so you can repeat a step as often as you need.
