Internal Linking Guide
Internal links move readers and search engines around your site. This guide shows the steps HaloSEO takes to link your posts together, and what the screen says at each one.
Step one: connect your website
You connect your website to HaloSEO. The screen asks for your site address and shows a connect button. Once the connection is made, the screen confirms your site is linked and shows your posts in one place. From here HaloSEO can see the pages it writes and publishes for you, which is what the linking step works from.
Step two: HaloSEO researches and writes the posts
HaloSEO researches the keywords for your site and writes the posts. The screen shows each post as it is drafted, with the keyword it targets and the title it will publish under. You see the list grow as posts are added. Each post becomes a page that later steps can link to, so the linking work has real pages to point at.
Step three: HaloSEO links the posts up
HaloSEO links the posts up. The screen shows the links it has added between your posts, with the page each link sits on and the page it points to. Related posts point at each other, so a reader who finishes one post has a clear next page to open. The screen keeps this list in one view so you can see the links across your site together.
Step four: HaloSEO publishes and keeps linking
HaloSEO publishes the posts and builds the backlinks. The screen shows what has gone live and the links in place across your published pages. As new posts are written and published, HaloSEO links them up with the pages already on your site, so the internal links stay current as your site grows. You watch the work happen from the same screen.
If a step needs a second attempt
If a step needs a second attempt, the screen shows the step again with a retry button. Press retry and HaloSEO runs that step once more. The screen confirms when the step completes and moves you on to the next one. Your connected site and your published posts stay as they are, so a retry picks up from the step that needed it and carries on through the rest of the flow.
