Verify Your Website

Verification connects your site to HaloSEO so the platform can research, write, publish and link on your behalf. Here is what each screen shows and how to move through it.

Step one: add your site address

The first screen asks for your website address. Type the full domain, including the part after the dot, and confirm. The screen then shows the address you entered and a button to start verification. Check the address reads exactly as your site does in a browser before you continue.

Step two: place the verification record

The next screen shows a verification record and tells you where to put it. Copy the record and add it to your domain settings, or place the file the screen names at the location it shows. The screen keeps the record visible while you work so you can copy it again at any point. When the record is in place, select the check button.

Step three: confirm the check

The screen runs a check and reports what it finds. When the record is found, the screen confirms your site is verified and takes you to your dashboard. From there HaloSEO researches the keywords, writes the posts, publishes them, links them up and builds the backlinks. The dashboard shows your connected site and the work in progress.

If a step needs a second attempt

If the check does not find the record, the screen says so and keeps the record on view. Confirm the record sits at the exact location the screen names, then select the check button again. Domain settings can take a while to update, so return to the screen and run the check once more. The screen holds your place, so you pick up where you left off.

What verification unlocks

Once your site is verified, HaloSEO can publish posts to it and link them up as part of your campaign. The platform writes the posts, publishes them on the schedule it sets and builds the backlinks that support them. Your dashboard shows each piece of work as it moves through research, writing and publishing, so you can follow the campaign from one place.
