Civil Engineers
Shopify Integration for Civil Engineers
HaloSEO connects to your Shopify site once and publishes finished posts to it. The posts go out as normal posts, in your own theme, on your own domain.
The phrases your customers search
Your customers do not search the way the trade talks. They do not type structural engineering consultancy or civil engineering services. They type things like who checks a retaining wall, do I need planning permission for a driveway, how much does a drainage survey cost, or is my extension load bearing. They search by problem, by street, and by the name of the town they live in. HaloSEO researches those phrases for your area and writes posts around them, so the words on your site match the words people actually use.
A worked example
Say you work around a town with a lot of older housing. A post could be titled Do You Need a Structural Survey for a Loft Conversion, and it would explain when a survey is needed, what the engineer looks at, and what the customer should have ready before they call. It would sit on your Shopify site as a normal post, in your theme, under your domain. It would link to your contact page and to a related post on the same site. Nothing else on the site changes.
What local intent means for civil engineers
Most of your work comes from a short drive away. A homeowner with a cracked wall is not going to call a firm two counties over. So the searches that matter carry a place in them: the town, the suburb, the district, sometimes the name of a river or a road. Local intent also means the searcher is close to acting. They have a problem now and they want someone nearby who can look at it. Posts that name the places you serve, and describe the problems common to those places, meet that intent better than a general page about your services.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want a blog hosted for you. HaloSEO publishes to your Shopify site, it does not host anything. It is not right if you want a plugin to install and maintain, because there is no plugin. It is not right if you expect a ranking, a position or a traffic number by a set date, because nobody controls search engines and we will not promise that. And it is not right if you want a writer to hand you drafts to edit, because this is a publishing platform, not a writing tool.
