Handyman Services

Keyword Research for Handyman Services

HaloSEO finds the phrases people in your area already search for and that you have no page for, then turns them into subjects for your publishing plan.

The phrases customers use, not the phrases the trade uses

People who need a handyman rarely search for a handyman. They search for the job. They type things like a shelf that keeps falling down, a door that will not close, or how much to hang a TV on a plasterboard wall. They describe the problem in their own words, often badly spelled, often with the room or the street name attached. The words the trade uses, like snagging, second fix or making good, mostly do not appear in those searches. HaloSEO looks at the phrases that already earn traffic in your market and that you have no page for. It does not ask you to guess. It hands those phrases to the planner as subjects, so the posts you publish answer the searches people actually make.

A worked example

Say HaloSEO finds that people near you search for how to stop a door dragging on the carpet, and your site has nothing on it. That phrase becomes a subject in the plan. The post it publishes would explain why a door drops, what tools a homeowner needs to check it, when the job is a five minute fix and when the frame or the hinge needs replacing. It would end by saying what a handyman does on that job and how to book one. The post answers the question first. The booking comes after. Nothing in that post promises a ranking, and nothing in it invents a price or a review.

What local intent means for a handyman business

Almost every search for a handyman has a place attached to it, spoken or not. Someone searching for a shelf fitted is usually willing to hire whoever is closest and can come soonest. That changes what the pages need to say. The post has to name the areas you cover, the jobs you take and the jobs you turn down, because a person in the next town is not your customer. It also has to answer the question in the way a local searcher reads it, with the practical detail of houses in that area rather than a generic guide. HaloSEO treats local intent as part of the subject, not as a tag added at the end.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want a keyword tool to search in yourself. HaloSEO is not that. The output is the publishing plan, not a report you read and act on by hand. It is also not right for a business with no website, or one that cannot publish posts at all, because the plan needs somewhere to go. And it is not right for anyone who wants a guaranteed position on Google or a date by which traffic will arrive. We do not control search engines and we will not pretend to.
