Internal Link Builder
Every new post links back into the ones already published, and the old ones gain links as the blog grows. No orphan pages, no manual linking.
The problem with a blog that does not link to itself
A post with no internal links pointing at it is a page Google reaches last and values least. Most automated blogs produce exactly that: a flat pile of articles, each one an island, each one competing with the others for the same phrase.
How the links are chosen
Links are placed on the phrase the target page was written to rank for, from articles that are genuinely about a related subject, and only where the sentence reads naturally with the link in it. A link that a reader would not click is a link that does nothing.
It works backwards as well as forwards
When a new article is published, the posts already on your site are revisited and given links to it where they fit. So the oldest article on the blog keeps getting better connected rather than sinking.
