A worked example
Say the target is wedding DJ in a named town. HaloSEO writes a post on that phrase. It then links that post to three to five of your earlier posts, on the phrase each of those was written to rank for. One link might sit on first dance songs, another on questions to ask a wedding DJ. It also goes back to older posts and adds a link forward to the new one. A link is placed only where the sentence reads naturally with it.
What local intent means for a DJ
For a DJ, local intent is most of the search. Someone booking a DJ is booking a person who has to turn up, set up and play in a room. They care about the drive, the venue and whether you have played there before. So the posts need the place in them, and the venue, and the kind of event. A page about wedding music in general does less for you than a page about a wedding at a hall people in your town actually book.
Who this is not right for
