Handyman Services
Schema Generator for Handyman Services
A tool that builds JSON-LD for a page and refuses to emit a type whose required fields are missing. You paste the output where you need it.
The phrases your customers type, not the ones the trade uses
People do not search for a handyman in the abstract. They search for the job. They type things like fix a leaking tap, put up shelves, assemble a flat pack wardrobe, patch a hole in the wall, or hang a door. They add the place: handyman near me, or handyman plus the name of their town. They add urgency: same day, weekend, cheap. The trade talks about general maintenance and property repairs. The customer talks about the broken thing in their house. Write for the second list. The schema tool helps here because it forces you to name the service and the area in structured fields, which is the same discipline as writing the page.
A worked example
Say a handyman business in a mid sized town wants a post about hanging doors. The post covers what the job involves, what can go wrong with an old frame, and what the customer should have ready before the visit. The schema tool takes the page details and builds the JSON-LD for it. If a required field is missing, it refuses to emit that type and tells you what is missing. You then paste the finished block into the page yourself. It does not add schema to published posts automatically yet. It is a tool you paste the output from.
What local intent means for a handyman
For a handyman, local intent is close to the whole search. The customer wants someone who can reach the house, and they usually want it soon. That means the town, the surrounding villages and the travel limit all matter as much as the job itself. A page that names the areas you cover and the jobs you take will match more of these searches than a page about handyman services in general. The schema output should carry the same place details as the page. Keep them consistent, because a mismatch between the page and the structured data helps nobody.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want schema added to posts you have already published, because that is not automatic yet. It is not right for you if you want a plugin that handles everything on its own, because this is a tool you paste the output from. It is not right for you if you are not willing to fill in the required fields, because it will refuse to emit a type without them. And it is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a position or a traffic number from it. We do not control search engines and we will not promise a result.
