Webflow Integration for Cloudflare

HaloSEO connects to a Webflow site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that works when the site sits behind Cloudflare.

How HaloSEO connects and what permission it needs

You connect your Webflow site to HaloSEO once. The connection lets HaloSEO publish a finished post to your Webflow site as a normal post. Cloudflare sits in front of the site and does not change the connection. HaloSEO does not need access to your Cloudflare account, and it does not ask for one. The permission it needs is on the Webflow side, so it can create the post on your site.

What the published post looks like on a Cloudflare site

The post goes out as a normal post on your Webflow site. It uses the site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your pages. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO domain. Cloudflare serves the page the same way it serves every other page on the site. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you, and it does not change anything else on the Webflow site.

What happens on Cloudflare that does not happen elsewhere

Cloudflare is a proxy and a security layer in front of your site. It is not the place where the post is stored. The post lives in Webflow. Cloudflare caches pages and filters traffic, so a new post reaches visitors through the same path as the rest of your site. If your Cloudflare settings cache pages for a long time, a new post can take longer to appear to some visitors until that cache clears. That is a Cloudflare setting, not something HaloSEO controls.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the Webflow connection is revoked or the site is unpublished, publishing stops. HaloSEO does not host the post, so nothing appears anywhere else. If Cloudflare blocks the request that creates the post, the post is not created and the run reports a failure. If a Cloudflare rule challenges or blocks the HaloSEO request, the same applies. When something breaks, the post is not published and you see the failure. Nothing else on your Webflow site is touched.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin you install and update on your site. There is no plugin. It is not right for you if you need HaloSEO to manage your Cloudflare settings, cache rules or security rules. It does not touch them. And it is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a traffic number or a date. We do not control search engines and we do not promise those.
