Wix Integration for Cloudflare

HaloSEO connects to your Wix site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works when your site sits behind Cloudflare.

How HaloSEO connects and what permission it needs

You connect your Wix site to HaloSEO once. You approve the connection from your Wix account, and HaloSEO gets permission to create and publish posts on that site. It does not get permission to change your theme, your pages, your store or your settings. Cloudflare sits in front of the site and does not change this step. The connection is between HaloSEO and Wix. Cloudflare passes the requests through like any other visitor traffic.

What the published post looks like on a Cloudflare site

The post goes live as a normal Wix post on your own domain. It uses your site's own theme, fonts and layout, so it looks like everything else you have published. Cloudflare does not alter the post. It serves the page the same way it serves the rest of your site, through your DNS and your caching and security settings. Readers see your domain in the address bar, not ours.

What happens on Cloudflare that does not happen elsewhere

Cloudflare is not where the post is stored. Wix stores it. Cloudflare is the layer in front, and it applies whatever rules you have set there. That can mean your cache settings, your firewall rules, your bot settings and your redirects all act on the new post as soon as it is live. If you run a strict cache rule, a new post may be served from cache for a while. If you run a firewall rule that blocks a path, it applies to the post too. These are your settings, and HaloSEO does not change them.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The connection can break if you revoke HaloSEO's access in Wix, change your Wix login, or move the site to a different Wix account. If that happens, publishing stops and HaloSEO reports the failure. Posts already live stay live. On the Cloudflare side, a broken connection is not the usual cause of a problem. More often a post looks wrong because of a cache rule, a redirect or a firewall rule you set. Check those first, then check the Wix connection.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin you install and update yourself. There is no plugin. It is not right for you if you need HaloSEO to manage your Cloudflare settings, your DNS, your cache rules or your firewall. It does not touch them. And it is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a traffic number or a date. We do not control search engines and we do not promise those.
