Wix Integration for Shopify

HaloSEO connects to Shopify through the Shopify admin. It writes posts, publishes them into your theme and keeps them linked. Here is how the connection works and what to expect.

How HaloSEO connects to Shopify

You install the HaloSEO app from the Shopify App Store and approve the access request. HaloSEO asks for permission to read and write blog articles, read your theme files and read your product and collection data. It does not ask for orders, customers or payment details. The connection is a standard Shopify app install, so you can revoke it from your Shopify admin at any time.

What a published post looks like on your Shopify site

HaloSEO publishes through the Shopify blog system, so posts use your theme's own article template. Headings, images, links and formatting render with your existing styles. Nothing is injected into your storefront and no separate front end is added. If you later change your theme, the posts follow the new template like any other article you wrote yourself.

What happens on Shopify that does not happen elsewhere

Shopify has its own blog, URL structure and sitemap, and HaloSEO works within them rather than around them. It reads your product and collection pages so posts can link to the right products. It handles Shopify's handle based URLs and its redirect rules when a post slug changes. It also respects Shopify's publishing states, so a post can go live or stay hidden without leaving the platform.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The most common failure is revoked access. If the app permission is removed, publishing stops and HaloSEO reports the failed job rather than retrying silently. A theme change can move or rename the article template, which may change how posts look. A slug change without a redirect can break old links. HaloSEO flags these in the dashboard, and you can fix them in Shopify or reconnect the app.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you run a Shopify store with no blog and no plan to use one. It is also not right if you want to approve every word by hand before it goes live, or if you need posts outside the Shopify blog system, such as on a separate subdomain or a headless front end. In those cases the Shopify integration will not fit how you work.
