Backlink Builder for Shopify
HaloSEO connects to your Shopify store, writes and publishes posts in your theme, and builds backlinks to them. Here is how the connection works and what to expect.
How HaloSEO connects to Shopify
You install the HaloSEO app from the Shopify App Store and approve the access request. HaloSEO asks for permission to read and write blog articles, read your theme files, and read your product and collection data. It does not ask for orders, customers or payment details. The connection uses Shopify's own authorisation flow, so you can revoke it at any time from your Shopify admin.
What the published post looks like
Posts are published as native Shopify blog articles. They use your theme's article template, your fonts, your header and your footer. There is no HaloSEO badge and no separate subdomain. A reader cannot tell the post was written by a tool unless you tell them. You can edit any post in the Shopify editor after it goes live.
What happens on Shopify that does not happen elsewhere
Shopify stores have product and collection pages that need internal links, and HaloSEO reads that catalogue to place them. It links posts to the products they mention, and links product pages back to the posts. It also reads your blog handle structure so URLs match the rest of your site. On other platforms these links are placed by hand or not at all.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If your theme changes, HaloSEO re reads the template before the next publish. If the Shopify API returns an error, the post stays in draft and the run is logged. If you revoke access, publishing stops and existing posts stay live. If a scheduled post fails, you get a notice in the dashboard with the reason. Nothing is deleted without your action.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live, if your store sells in a regulated category where claims need legal review, or if you run a blog with a strong editorial voice you do not want a tool to copy. It is also not right for stores with no product pages to link to. In those cases a manual writer is the better fit.
