Automatic Blog Publishing for Cloudflare

HaloSEO writes the post and publishes it to your Cloudflare site on a schedule. This page explains how the connection works and what to expect.

How HaloSEO connects to Cloudflare

You connect your Cloudflare site to HaloSEO once. HaloSEO needs permission to write and publish content on that site, and to read the site so it can match your theme and your existing links. It does not need access to your Cloudflare account settings, your DNS, your billing or your other services. The connection is used for one job: putting finished posts on your site. You can revoke it at any time from your Cloudflare side, and publishing stops when you do.

What the published post looks like

The post goes live in your site's own theme. It uses your fonts, your colours, your header and your footer, so a reader cannot tell it was written somewhere else. The picture is already in the post. The internal links are already in the post. The title tag, the meta description and the rest of the metadata are already set. There is no draft sitting in a queue and no approval step. The post is live when it is written.

What happens on Cloudflare that does not happen elsewhere

Cloudflare serves your pages from its network, so a new post is delivered from the edge as soon as it is published. There is no separate build step for you to run and no plugin to keep updated. HaloSEO writes to the site and Cloudflare serves it. If you use Cloudflare to manage redirects or caching rules, those keep working on the new posts the same way they work on your old ones.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The connection can fail. A permission can be revoked, a token can expire, or Cloudflare can be unreachable when a post is due. When that happens the post is not published and HaloSEO reports the failure to you. It does not retry silently forever and it does not publish to a different place. If your theme changes in a way that breaks the layout, the post still publishes but may look wrong, and you will need to fix the theme. We do not promise a ranking, a position, a traffic number or a date. We do not control search engines.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to read every post before it goes live. There is no draft queue and no approval step, so the post is public the moment it is written. It is also not right for you if you need to hand edit each post in a CMS before publishing, or if you are not willing to give a publishing tool write access to your site. If any of those matter to you, use a tool that produces drafts instead.
