Image Generation for WordPress

HaloSEO makes the images that go with your posts and puts them into WordPress in the right place. Here is how that works, and what it does not do.

How HaloSEO connects to WordPress

You add the site once and approve the connection from inside your WordPress admin. HaloSEO needs permission to create and edit posts, upload media, and set the featured image. It does not need your WordPress password, and you can revoke the connection from your site at any time. The connection uses the WordPress REST API with an application password or an approved plugin handshake, depending on how your site is set up.

What the published post looks like

The post is a normal WordPress post. It uses your theme, your fonts, your colours and your templates. Images are uploaded to the media library and attached to the post, and one is set as the featured image so your archive and social previews pick it up. Nothing is rendered in a separate HaloSEO template. If you edit the post later in the WordPress editor, your edits stay.

What happens on WordPress that does not happen elsewhere

WordPress gives us a media library, so every generated image is a real attachment with alt text, a caption field and a file you own. It gives us the featured image slot, so the image appears wherever your theme expects it. It gives us revisions, so you can roll a post back. And it gives us your existing categories, tags and permalink structure, so the post files itself into the site you already have.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

Connections expire. Security plugins block REST requests. Hosts run out of disk space. Image generation can fail on a single post while the rest of the run continues. When something fails, HaloSEO marks that step as failed and shows you the error in the dashboard. It does not publish a post with a broken image and it does not retry silently forever. You can reconnect the site or rerun the step. If the connection drops mid run, posts already published stay published.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to hand pick every image yourself, if your site does not allow REST API access and you cannot change that, or if you need images of real people, real products or real locations. HaloSEO generates images. It does not source photography, and it will not produce a picture of your actual team or your actual shop.
