Image Generation for Webflow

HaloSEO writes and publishes posts to your Webflow site, and that includes the images inside them. Here is how the images are made, where they land, and what to expect.

How HaloSEO connects to Webflow

You connect your Webflow site once, from inside HaloSEO. The connection uses a Webflow API token that you create in your Webflow account settings and paste into HaloSEO. The token needs permission to read your site structure and to create and publish CMS items. HaloSEO does not need access to your billing, your members, or your site settings. You can revoke the token in Webflow at any time, and the connection stops.

What a published post looks like on your site

HaloSEO publishes into a Webflow CMS collection that you choose. The post uses your existing collection fields and your existing page template, so it inherits your fonts, colours, spacing and layout. Generated images are uploaded to your Webflow assets and attached to the post's image field. They render through your template the same way any other image on your site does. Nothing is injected as raw HTML into your design.

What happens on Webflow that does not happen elsewhere

Webflow gives us a real CMS and a real asset library, so images are stored and served by Webflow rather than hotlinked from somewhere else. That means your image alt text, your responsive image sizes and your asset CDN all behave as they do for images you upload by hand. Publishing also respects your collection structure, so a post cannot land in a collection that lacks the fields it needs.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The common failures are a revoked or expired token, a collection whose fields were renamed, and an asset upload that Webflow rejects for size or format. When a publish fails, HaloSEO stops and records the error against that post. It does not retry blindly and it does not publish a partial item. You see the failed post in your queue with the reason, and you can fix the cause and republish. If an image fails but the text is fine, the post is held rather than published without its image.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if your Webflow site is a single static page with no CMS collection, because there is nowhere for posts to go. It is also not right for you if you want to approve every image by hand before it goes live, or if you need images in a style we have not been set up to produce. And it is not a design tool. It fills the image fields in your existing template. It does not redesign your pages.
