Webflow
Schema Generator for Webflow
HaloSEO writes and publishes posts to your Webflow site, and adds schema markup so search engines and AI tools can read them. Here is how the connection works and what to expect.
How HaloSEO connects to Webflow
You connect your Webflow site once, from inside HaloSEO. The connection uses the Webflow API and a site level API token that you create in your Webflow account settings. The token needs permission to read your site structure and to create and publish CMS items. HaloSEO does not need access to your billing, your members or your site settings. You can revoke the token in Webflow at any time, and the connection stops.
What a published post looks like
HaloSEO publishes into a Webflow CMS collection that you choose. The post uses your existing collection fields and your existing page template, so it carries your fonts, colours, spacing and components. Nothing is injected as a separate widget or an iframe. The schema markup is added to the post as structured data in the page head, built from the fields you already fill in, such as title, author, date and image.
What happens on Webflow that does not happen elsewhere
Webflow gives HaloSEO a clean content model to write into. Because the CMS collection defines the fields, HaloSEO fills the same fields your team fills by hand, so the post behaves like any other item in the collection. That means your filters, your related post lists and your sitemap pick it up with no extra work. The schema is generated from those same fields, so the markup and the visible page stay in step.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The most common failure is a changed collection. If you rename or remove a field HaloSEO writes to, publishing for that collection stops and you get a notice in HaloSEO. A revoked or expired token stops publishing the same way. If Webflow rejects a publish, HaloSEO keeps the draft and retries after you fix the cause. We do not silently drop a post. Schema output depends on the fields being present, so a missing author or date means that part of the markup is left out rather than guessed.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if your site is not on Webflow, or if you want to keep every post in a manual review queue before it goes live. It is also not right for you if you cannot create an API token with CMS write access, or if your Webflow plan does not include the CMS. In those cases HaloSEO cannot publish, and the schema work has nothing to attach to.
