Locksmiths
Schema Generator for Locksmiths
A tool that builds the JSON-LD for a page and refuses to emit a type whose required fields are missing. You paste the output where you want it.
The phrases your customers type, not the ones the trade uses
People locked out of a flat do not search for a locksmith. They search for help getting back in. They type things like locked out of my house, lost my keys, key snapped in the lock, or door will not close. A person who wants a lock changed searches for new lock fitted or how much to change a lock. A landlord searches for a locksmith who can do a key safe. The trade words, such as cylinder replacement or non destructive entry, are what locksmiths say to each other. They are rarely what a customer types at 11pm. The schema you build should describe the page in the words the page is written in, so the two match.
A worked example
Say a locksmith in Leeds writes a post called Locked out of your house at night, what to do first. The post covers checking for a spare key, calling a trusted neighbour, and what to ask a locksmith before you agree to a callout. The schema for that page would describe it as an article, with a headline, a description, a date published, and the business as the author. If the date published is missing, the tool will not emit the article type. It tells you which field is empty instead of guessing. You then paste the finished JSON-LD into the page yourself. The tool does not add it to published posts for you yet.
What local intent means for a locksmith
A locksmith is a local business in the strictest sense. Nobody calls a locksmith four hours away. The search almost always carries a place in it, or the phone does. That means the page has to name the areas you cover, and the schema has to describe the business with a real address and a real phone number. Local intent also means the searcher is often in a hurry and often on a phone. The page should answer the urgent question first and the general question second. Do not claim a service area you cannot reach in a reasonable time. The schema will not fix a page that overstates where you work.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want schema added to your published posts without touching them. It is a tool you paste the output from, not an automatic step. It is not right for you if you want a writer to produce the posts as well, because this page is about the schema only. It is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a position or a traffic number from adding structured data. We do not control search engines and we will not promise a result. And it is not right for you if your business details are not settled, because the tool needs real values for required fields and will refuse to fill them in for you.
