Squarespace Integration for Bubble
HaloSEO connects to a Squarespace site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works and what it does not do.
How HaloSEO connects to Squarespace
You connect your Squarespace site to HaloSEO once. HaloSEO then publishes the finished post to that site as a normal post. The permission it needs is the ability to publish posts to your Squarespace site. It does not need a plugin, and there is no plugin to keep up to date. It does not change anything else on the Squarespace site.
What the published post looks like on a Squarespace site
The post goes out as a normal post on your site. It uses the site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your content. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO domain. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you. The post lives on your Squarespace site, under your theme, on your domain.
What happens on Squarespace that does not happen elsewhere
Squarespace is one of the platforms HaloSEO publishes to directly. The connection is made once, and after that HaloSEO sends finished posts to the site as normal posts. There is no plugin to install and no plugin to update. Nothing else on the Squarespace site is touched. If you run your site on another platform, the connection steps differ, so check the page for that platform.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If the connection to your Squarespace site stops working, publishing stops. HaloSEO cannot publish a post to a site it cannot reach. The fix is to reconnect the site in HaloSEO. Nothing else on your Squarespace site is affected, because HaloSEO does not change anything else there. Posts already published stay where they are.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin you manage and update yourself. There is no plugin. It is not right for you if you expect changes to other parts of your Squarespace site. HaloSEO only publishes posts. And it is not right for you if you want a promised ranking, position, traffic number or date. HaloSEO does not control search engines and does not promise any of these.
