HaloSEO connects to a Squarespace site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works and what it does not do.

How HaloSEO connects to Squarespace

You connect your Squarespace site to HaloSEO once. HaloSEO needs permission to publish posts to that site. It does not need permission to change your pages, your design, your settings or anything else on the site. After the connection is made, HaloSEO sends each finished post to Squarespace as a normal post. You do not install a plugin and you do not keep anything up to date.

What the published post looks like

The post appears on your Squarespace site as a normal post. It uses the site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your content. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO domain. Readers see your site, your styling and your URL. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you and does not add a separate blog to your site.

What happens on Squarespace that does not happen elsewhere

Squarespace is where the post lives once it is published. HaloSEO writes the post, then sends it to Squarespace, and Squarespace serves it in your theme on your domain. There is no plugin to maintain and no separate hosting to manage. If you change your Squarespace theme later, the post follows that theme like any other post on the site.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection to Squarespace stops working, publishing stops. HaloSEO cannot send posts to a site it is not connected to. The fix is to reconnect the site. Nothing else on your Squarespace site is changed by HaloSEO, so a broken connection does not affect your existing pages, your theme or your other posts. HaloSEO does not promise a ranking, a position, a traffic number or a date, because we do not control search engines.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin you manage yourself, because there is no plugin. It is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to change other parts of your Squarespace site, because it does not. And it is not right for you if you need a promised ranking or a promised date, because we do not offer either.
