Squarespace Integration for HubSpot

HaloSEO connects to your Squarespace site once and publishes finished posts to it. The post goes out as a normal post, in your theme, on your domain.

How the connection works

You connect your Squarespace site to HaloSEO once. HaloSEO needs permission to publish posts to that site. That is the permission it asks for. It does not ask for more, and it does not use the connection for anything else. After the connection is made, HaloSEO publishes the finished post to your site as a normal post. You do not copy and paste anything, and you do not move files around.

What the published post looks like

The post appears on your Squarespace site as a normal post. It uses your site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your blog. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO domain. There is no HaloSEO badge on it and no separate blog to maintain. Visitors read it the same way they read any other post on your site.

What happens on Squarespace that does not happen elsewhere

Squarespace does not need a plugin. There is nothing to install on your site and nothing to keep up to date. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you. Your posts live on your Squarespace site, under your domain, in your theme. HaloSEO does not change anything else on the site. Pages, products, forms and settings stay as they are.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection to your Squarespace site stops working, publishing stops. HaloSEO does not publish to a site it cannot reach. The post is not lost. You reconnect the site and publishing can carry on. If your theme changes, the post still uses the theme your site has at the time it is published. HaloSEO does not edit your theme, so a theme change is not something it can break.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin on your site that you manage and update. There is no plugin. It is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to change other parts of your Squarespace site, such as pages, products or settings. It only publishes posts. If you need any of those things, this integration will not do them.
