Framer

Automatic Indexing for Framer

HaloSEO keeps a sitemap on your own domain up to date as posts go live, so search engines can find new posts without anyone submitting them.

How HaloSEO connects to Framer

You connect your Framer site to HaloSEO once. HaloSEO needs permission to publish posts to your site and to write the sitemap and robots.txt files on your domain. That is the whole permission set. It does not need access to your Framer account settings, your billing, or anything outside the site you connect. If you remove the connection, publishing stops and the files stay as they are until you change them.

What a published post looks like on Framer

Posts are published into your Framer site and use the site's own theme. Headings, body text, links and images follow the styles you already set, so a new post looks like the rest of your site and not like a separate blog bolted on. You keep editing control in Framer. If you change a style in your theme, the posts pick it up like any other page on the site.

What happens on Framer that does not happen elsewhere

Framer sites are built and served in a particular way, and the sitemap has to live on your own domain to be useful. HaloSEO writes the sitemap there and points robots.txt at it, then keeps both current as posts go live. This is the part that matters on Framer: new posts are found through the sitemap on your domain, without anybody submitting them by hand. That is the mechanism, and it is the only one we use.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection to your Framer site drops, publishing pauses and the sitemap stops updating. Posts already live stay live. If a post is unpublished or its URL changes in Framer, the sitemap is rewritten to match on the next update. If the sitemap or robots.txt is overwritten by something else on your side, HaloSEO writes it again on the next publish. We do not ping Google, we do not use IndexNow, and we do not submit URLs to Search Console. Finding and indexing your posts is up to the search engines.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want guaranteed indexing, a submission service, or a promise about when a post appears in Google. We do not ping search engines, we do not use IndexNow, and we do not submit URLs to Search Console. If you need those things done, this is not the tool for it. It is also not right for you if you want to keep publishing by hand and only need a sitemap plugin, or if your site is not on Framer and you expected a Framer specific setup.
