Zapier

Squarespace Integration for Zapier

HaloSEO connects to your Squarespace site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works and what it does not do.

How the connection works

You connect your Squarespace site to HaloSEO once. HaloSEO asks for permission to publish posts to that site. That is the only permission it needs. There is no plugin to install and no code to paste into your theme. Once the connection is in place, HaloSEO sends each finished post to Squarespace as a normal post. You can disconnect the site at any time from your HaloSEO account.

What the published post looks like

The post arrives on your Squarespace site as a normal post. It uses your site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your blog. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO subdomain. Your fonts, colours, header and footer apply. Nothing about the post is hosted by HaloSEO. If you edit the post in Squarespace later, your edits stay.

What happens on Squarespace that does not happen elsewhere

Squarespace handles the page itself. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you, so the post lives entirely inside your Squarespace account. There is no plugin to keep up to date, which means no update can break the connection. HaloSEO also does not change anything else on your Squarespace site. It adds posts and nothing more. Your other pages, settings and design stay as they are.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection is revoked, or your Squarespace permissions change, publishing stops. HaloSEO cannot send new posts until you reconnect the site. Posts already published stay on your site and are not affected. If a publish attempt fails, HaloSEO records the failure so you can see it and retry after reconnecting. Nothing is deleted from your site by HaloSEO.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is also not right for you if you want a tool that edits your existing Squarespace pages, changes your design, or manages your site settings. It only publishes posts. If you need a plugin based setup with deep control over every part of your site, this connection is not that.
