Zapier
Automatic Indexing for Zapier
HaloSEO keeps a sitemap on your Zapier site up to date as posts go live. Search engines can find new posts without you submitting anything by hand.
How HaloSEO connects to Zapier
You connect HaloSEO to your Zapier site once, from your HaloSEO account. HaloSEO needs permission to write posts and to write files to your site root. That second permission is what lets it keep the sitemap and robots.txt current. It does not need access to your billing, your customer data or your other apps. You can revoke the connection from your HaloSEO account at any time.
What a published post looks like on a Zapier site
Posts publish in your site's own theme. Headers, fonts, colours, navigation and footer all come from your Zapier site, not from HaloSEO. A reader cannot tell from the page that HaloSEO wrote it. Images sit where your theme puts them. Internal links use your site's URL structure. If your theme changes later, published posts follow the new theme because they are normal posts on your site.
What happens on Zapier that does not happen elsewhere
HaloSEO writes a sitemap to your own domain and keeps it updated as each post goes live. It also writes a robots.txt that points at that sitemap. Both files live on your Zapier site, so a crawler that visits your domain finds the sitemap without anybody submitting a URL. This is the whole mechanism. HaloSEO does not ping Google. It does not use IndexNow. It does not submit URLs to Search Console. Discovery depends on crawlers visiting your site and reading the files, and we do not control when or whether they do.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The connection can drop if you change your Zapier site settings, move to a new domain or revoke access by mistake. When that happens, publishing stops and the sitemap stops updating. Posts already live stay live and stay in the sitemap as it last stood. HaloSEO flags the broken connection in your account so you can reconnect. If your robots.txt is edited outside HaloSEO and stops pointing at the sitemap, new posts may take longer to be found. We show you the current state of both files so you can check.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you need instant indexing, or if you rely on IndexNow or Search Console submissions as part of your process. HaloSEO does none of those things. It is also not right for you if you want to approve every file change on your site by hand, because the sitemap and robots.txt update on their own as posts publish. And it is not right for you if you expect a guaranteed ranking or a set traffic number. We do not control search engines and we do not promise positions or dates.
