Zapier

Image Generation for Zapier

HaloSEO draws a picture for each post from the article's own subject, in the style you chose, and hosts it on your own storage. Here is how that works when your site runs on Zapier.

How HaloSEO connects to Zapier

You connect HaloSEO to your Zapier site once, from the HaloSEO dashboard. The connection needs permission to create and publish posts, to upload media to your storage, and to read your site's theme settings so the post matches your layout. It does not need your billing details, your customer data or your admin password. You can revoke the connection at any time from either side, and publishing stops as soon as you do.

What the published post looks like on a Zapier site

The post is published in your site's own theme. Headings, body text, links and the image all use the fonts, colours and spacing your theme already defines. The image is uploaded to your storage and served from your domain, not ours. Nothing is added to your theme files and no plugin is installed. If you change your theme later, existing posts follow the new theme like any other post on the site.

What happens on Zapier that does not happen elsewhere

Zapier sites keep their media and their theme settings in one place, so the image upload and the theme read happen in a single step during publishing. That means the picture is in your storage before the post goes live, and the post is rendered in your theme at the moment it is created rather than being restyled afterwards. On other platforms these can be separate steps. Here they are not.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection loses its permission, publishing pauses and HaloSEO tells you in the dashboard. Nothing is published half finished. If an image upload fails, the post is held rather than published without its picture. If your theme changes while a post is being published, that post may need a republish to pick up the new styling. You can republish from the dashboard. We do not retry silently and we do not publish around an error.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you need pictures with text in them, such as banners with a headline or a price. HaloSEO does not put text in the picture. It is also not right for you if you want a stock image library to browse and pick from, because it is not one. And it is not right for you if you want the image model to know your business name or any identifying detail, because we never send those.
