Custom API

AI Blog Writer for Custom API

HaloSEO connects to your Custom API site, researches the keywords, writes the posts and publishes them for you. This page explains how the connection works and what to expect.

How HaloSEO connects to Custom API

You connect your Custom API site to HaloSEO and give it permission to publish posts. That permission is what lets HaloSEO send a finished article to your site without you copying and pasting anything. HaloSEO does not need access to your code, your database or your hosting. It needs the publishing route your site exposes, and the credentials that route accepts. Once the connection is live, the planner picks the keyword and the brief, and the writer produces the article from them.

What the published post looks like on a Custom API site

The post goes out through your own publishing route, so it renders in your site's own theme. Your templates, your typography, your header and footer all apply. The article arrives with its headings, its meta description and its alt text already written. Nothing is restyled to look like HaloSEO. A reader on your site sees a normal post in the design you built.

What happens on Custom API that does not happen elsewhere

A Custom API site gives HaloSEO one clear route in and one clear route out. There is no plugin layer and no third party theme to work around. The article is sent to the endpoint you expose, and your site decides how to store and render it. That means the shape of the published post is set by your code, not by ours. If your route expects a particular field layout, that layout is what HaloSEO has to match.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The connection depends on your endpoint staying up and accepting the credentials HaloSEO holds. If the endpoint changes, if the credentials are rotated, or if the route starts rejecting the payload, publishing stops. HaloSEO does not silently retry forever and does not fall back to a different route. The post is not published, and the failure is visible rather than hidden. Fix the endpoint or the credentials, and publishing resumes on the next run.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to type a prompt for each post. HaloSEO writes from the keyword and the brief the planner chose, not from a prompt you write. It is also not right for you if you want to approve each draft before it goes out. There is no approval step. The post is published. If either of those steps matters to you, this is the wrong tool.
