AI Visibility Reports for Custom API
HaloSEO asks the assistants the questions your customers ask, then records whether your business was named, what was said, and who was named instead. This page covers how that works on a Custom API site.
How HaloSEO connects to Custom API
You connect your Custom API site to HaloSEO and give it permission to publish posts and to read the site's theme and layout files. That permission is what lets HaloSEO write into your site and match how your pages already look. HaloSEO does not need access to your customer data, your orders or your admin settings. If you revoke the connection, publishing stops and nothing else on your site changes.
What a published post looks like on a Custom API site
Posts are published into your site's own theme. Headers, footers, type, colours and navigation come from your Custom API build, not from HaloSEO. A reader should not be able to tell which posts came from HaloSEO and which you wrote yourself. If your theme has templates for post types, HaloSEO uses them. If it does not, the post uses your default post template.
What happens on Custom API that does not happen elsewhere
Custom API sites are built to your own structure, so HaloSEO reads that structure before it publishes. It maps your content types and your URL patterns so posts land in the right place and internal links point at real pages. On a fixed platform you inherit the platform's rules. On Custom API you inherit yours, which means the setup step matters more and the output fits your site more closely.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The common failures are a revoked permission, a theme change that removes a template HaloSEO was using, or a custom field that no longer exists. When publishing fails, HaloSEO stops and reports the failure rather than publishing a broken page. Posts already live stay live. Fix the permission or the template, reconnect, and publishing resumes. Nothing is deleted from your site without you doing it.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want a guaranteed ranking, a set position or a traffic number by a set date. HaloSEO does not control search engines and does not promise any of those. It is also not right for you if you want a tool that only writes text for you to publish by hand. HaloSEO publishes. And the AI visibility report is a measurement, not a ranking. The assistants are not told anything, so a report shows what was said, not what we asked them to say.
