Custom API

Wix Integration for Custom API

HaloSEO connects to your Wix site once and publishes finished posts to it. The posts appear as normal posts, in your theme, on your domain.

How the connection works

You connect your Wix site to HaloSEO once. The connection uses the Custom API route, so HaloSEO sends the finished post to your site through the API rather than through a plugin. HaloSEO needs permission to create posts on your site. That is the only permission it asks for. You approve the connection from your side, and you can remove it at any time.

What the published post looks like

The post arrives on your Wix site as a normal post. It uses your site's own theme, fonts and layout, because it is rendered by Wix and not by HaloSEO. It sits on your own domain, under the blog structure you already have. Readers see a post on your site. They do not see a HaloSEO page, a widget or a badge.

What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere

Wix renders the post inside your existing theme, so you keep full control of how it looks and you can edit it in the Wix editor afterwards. There is no plugin to install and no plugin to keep up to date. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you. The post lives in your Wix site, and your site stays the source of truth for design and structure.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection is revoked or the permission is removed, publishing stops. Posts already on your site stay there. If Wix changes its API or your site's blog structure changes, a publish can fail. When a publish fails, HaloSEO reports the failure and does not mark the post as live. You can reconnect and retry. HaloSEO does not change anything else on your Wix site, so a failure is limited to the post that was being sent.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is also not right for you if you need a plugin based setup, or if you want a tool to manage the rest of your Wix site. HaloSEO only publishes posts. If you need changes to pages, products or settings, you make them in Wix yourself.
