Competitor Tracking for Google Analytics

HaloSEO watches which sites rank for your subjects and what pages they have. It turns the gap into your next set of articles.

How HaloSEO connects to Google Analytics

You connect your site once. HaloSEO needs read access to your Google Analytics property so it can see which subjects already bring people to your pages. It does not need write access, and it does not change your settings. The connection is used to read subject level data, not to edit anything inside Google Analytics.

What the published post looks like on a Google Analytics site

The post is published in your site's own theme. It uses your templates, your header, your footer and your type. A reader cannot tell it was planned by HaloSEO. There is no badge, no widget and no extra block on the page. If your theme has a byline or a category, the post follows the same rules as the rest of your content.

What happens on Google Analytics that does not happen elsewhere

On a Google Analytics site, HaloSEO can read which subjects already send people to your pages. That tells it which gaps are worth filling first. On a site without Google Analytics, HaloSEO works from the sites that rank for your subjects and from what pages they have. The difference is the subject data from your own property, not a new dashboard.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the Google Analytics connection drops, HaloSEO keeps working from the ranking sites and their pages. The plan is still built, but it leans less on your own subject data. If your theme changes, a published post can look wrong until the theme is fixed. If a competitor page is removed, the gap it created closes and the plan moves on.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want a dashboard to read. HaloSEO does not produce one. The output is the next set of subjects, not charts. It is also not right for you if you want to approve every post by hand, or if you expect a ranking, a traffic number or a date. We do not control search engines and we do not promise any of those.
