Squarespace Integration for Google Analytics
HaloSEO connects to your Squarespace site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works and what it does not do.
How HaloSEO connects to your Squarespace site
You connect your Squarespace site to HaloSEO once. You approve the connection from your Squarespace account, and that approval is the permission HaloSEO needs to publish posts to your site. HaloSEO does not ask for your Squarespace password. You can remove the connection from your Squarespace account at any time, and publishing stops when you do.
What the published post looks like
HaloSEO publishes the finished post to your Squarespace site as a normal post. It uses your site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your blog. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO domain. Nothing about the post is hosted by HaloSEO. It is your content on your site.
What happens on Squarespace that does not happen elsewhere
The post is created inside Squarespace itself, so it appears in your Squarespace posts list and can be edited there like any other post. There is no plugin to install and no plugin to keep up to date. HaloSEO does not change anything else on your Squarespace site. It does not touch your pages, your design, your settings or your other posts.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If the connection between HaloSEO and your Squarespace site stops working, publishing stops. This can happen if you remove the connection, change your Squarespace account, or if Squarespace is unavailable. HaloSEO does not publish a partial post. When the connection is restored, publishing can continue. Posts already on your site stay where they are.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is also not right for you if you want a tool that manages your whole Squarespace site, because it only publishes posts and changes nothing else. And it is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a traffic number or a date, because we do not control search engines and do not promise any of those.
