Internal Link Builder for Google Analytics

HaloSEO links each new post to three to five of your earlier posts, on the phrase the target was written to rank for. This page explains how that works on a Google Analytics site.

How HaloSEO connects to Google Analytics

You connect your site once, and HaloSEO needs permission to read your pages and to publish new ones. That is the same access any publishing tool needs to put a post live. We do not ask for billing access, and we do not ask for the right to change your theme files. If you would rather approve each post by hand, you can. The connection is between HaloSEO and your site, not between HaloSEO and your Google Analytics reporting account. We do not read your traffic reports to decide where links go.

What the published post looks like

The post goes out in your site's own theme. Same header, same fonts, same layout, same sidebar if you have one. We do not ship a template of our own and we do not restyle your pages. The internal links sit inside the body text as ordinary links, in the same style your theme already uses for links. A reader should not be able to tell which links we placed and which ones you wrote yourself.

What happens on Google Analytics that does not happen elsewhere

Nothing about the linking changes because your site runs on Google Analytics. The link builder works the same way on every site we publish to. What differs is only the publishing step, which follows the rules of your platform. We are not claiming a special integration, a certification or a partnership with Google Analytics. If a page of ours ever suggests otherwise, treat this page as the correct one.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection to your site drops, publishing stops. Nothing goes out while the link is down, and nothing is half published. When you reconnect, the queue picks up where it stopped. If a post is edited or deleted after it goes live, a link that pointed at it may now point at nothing. We check for that on the posts we revisit, but we cannot see every change you make by hand. If a sentence no longer reads naturally with a link in it, we leave the link out rather than force it.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to buy links. We do not buy links, and we do not link to sites we do not publish to. It is not right for you if you want a fixed number of links on a fixed date, because we place a link only where the sentence reads naturally with it. And it is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a position or a traffic figure from us. We do not control search engines and we will not promise one.
