Automatic Indexing for Google Analytics
HaloSEO keeps a sitemap on your own domain up to date as posts go live, so search engines can find new posts without anyone submitting them.
How HaloSEO connects to Google Analytics
HaloSEO connects to Google Analytics through the Google account you authorise during setup. The permission it needs is read access to your Google Analytics property, so it can see the site and its data. It does not ask for write access to your property, and it does not change your settings. You can revoke the connection from your Google account at any time.
What a published post looks like on a Google Analytics site
A published post uses your site's own theme. It carries your header, your footer, your fonts and your colours, so it reads as part of the site rather than a separate blog. HaloSEO writes the post and publishes it to your site. The post goes live on your domain, not on a subdomain we control.
What happens on Google Analytics that does not happen elsewhere
On a Google Analytics site, HaloSEO keeps a sitemap on your own domain updated as posts go live. Your robots.txt points at that sitemap. New posts are found through the sitemap without anybody submitting them by hand. This is the whole of the indexing behaviour. HaloSEO does not ping Google, does not use IndexNow, and does not submit URLs to Search Console.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If the Google Analytics connection drops, HaloSEO cannot read your property, and publishing pauses until you reconnect. If your robots.txt stops pointing at the sitemap, or a firewall blocks it, search engines may not find new posts through it. If your theme changes, a published post can look wrong until the theme is fixed. We do not promise a ranking, a position, a traffic number or a date. We do not control search engines.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want URL submission to Search Console, IndexNow pings, or a promise of a ranking by a set date. HaloSEO does none of those. It is also not right for you if you need write access to your Google Analytics property, because we only ask for read access. If you want a tool that submits URLs on your behalf, this is not that tool.
