Shopify Integration for Google Analytics
HaloSEO connects to your Shopify site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works and what it does not do.
How HaloSEO connects to your Shopify site
You connect your Shopify site to HaloSEO once. You approve the connection from your Shopify admin, and that approval is the permission HaloSEO needs to publish posts to your store. HaloSEO does not ask for your Shopify password. It does not read your orders, your customers or your payments. The permission is for publishing content, and nothing else on the store is touched.
What the published post looks like
HaloSEO publishes the finished post to your Shopify site as a normal post. It uses your site's own theme, so the post carries your fonts, your colours and your layout. It sits on your own domain, at a URL on your store. There is no separate blog host and no second brand to explain. A reader who lands on the post sees your shop, not ours.
What happens on Shopify that does not happen elsewhere
On Shopify, the post is a native part of the store. It lives in your Shopify admin with your other content, and your theme controls how it looks. You do not install a plugin and you do not keep one up to date. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you. If you stop using HaloSEO, the posts stay on your site because they were published there.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If the connection between HaloSEO and your Shopify site drops, publishing stops. Posts already on your site stay where they are and keep working. HaloSEO does not change anything else on the Shopify site, so a dropped connection cannot damage your store, your theme or your other pages. You reconnect from your Shopify admin and publishing resumes. If your theme changes, the posts follow the new theme because they use it.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog on its own domain. It is not right for you if you want a plugin you manage and update yourself. It is not right for you if you need HaloSEO to edit your product pages, your checkout or any other part of the store. HaloSEO publishes posts and links them up. It does not run your shop.
