Webflow Integration for Google Analytics

HaloSEO connects to your Webflow site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page covers how that connection works and what it does and does not touch.

How HaloSEO connects to Google Analytics

HaloSEO does not connect to Google Analytics. It connects to your Webflow site. The two are separate systems and we do not ask for access to your analytics account. The Webflow connection is made once, from your HaloSEO account, and it needs permission to create and publish posts on the site you choose. That is the whole permission. We do not ask for billing access, we do not ask to change your site settings, and we do not ask to read your Google Analytics data. If a page or a tool tells you HaloSEO needs Google Analytics access, that is not us.

What the published post looks like on a Webflow site

The post is published to your Webflow site as a normal post. It uses the site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your content. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO subdomain. There is no widget, no badge and no footer credit added by us. Your readers see your site. Your analytics tag, if you have one on the site, sees the page like any other page, because it is a page on your site.

What happens on Webflow that does not happen elsewhere

Webflow is one of the places HaloSEO can publish to directly. The post is created in your Webflow project and goes live on your domain. You do not copy and paste it, and you do not export a file. We do not host the blog for you, and there is no plugin to install or keep up to date. Nothing else on the Webflow site is changed. Your pages, your collections, your settings and your design stay as they are.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the Webflow connection is revoked or the permission is removed, publishing stops. Posts already on your site stay there, because they are your content on your site. If a publish attempt fails, HaloSEO reports the failure in your account and the post is not marked as published. If your Webflow plan or site settings block new posts, the publish will fail and you will see it. We do not retry silently and we do not publish to a different place as a fallback.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin you manage inside Webflow. There is no plugin. It is not right for you if you need HaloSEO to read your Google Analytics data or report on it. We do not connect to Google Analytics. And it is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a traffic number or a date. We do not control search engines and we do not promise any of those.
