Make

Internal Link Builder for Make

HaloSEO links each new post to three to five of your own earlier posts, on the phrase the target was written to rank for. On Make, the post goes out in your site's own theme.

How HaloSEO connects to Make

You connect your Make site to HaloSEO once, from your HaloSEO account. The connection needs permission to publish posts to your site and to read the posts already there. Reading is how HaloSEO finds the earlier posts it can link to. Publishing is how the new post and the links inside it reach your site. HaloSEO does not need access to your Make account settings, your billing or anything outside the site you connect.

What the published post looks like on a Make site

The post is published in your site's own theme. It uses your fonts, your colours, your header and your footer, and it sits at a URL on your domain. It is not a separate page hosted somewhere else and it is not an embed. A reader cannot tell it apart from a post you wrote yourself. The internal links sit inside the body text, on the phrase the target was written to rank for.

What happens on Make that does not happen elsewhere

Make sites keep their posts in one place, so HaloSEO can see the full set of earlier posts when it picks links. That means the three to five links in a new post point at real posts on your site, not at guesses. HaloSEO also revisits older posts and adds a link forward to the new one. On Make that edit happens in the same theme, so the older post keeps its look.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If the connection to Make drops, publishing stops. HaloSEO does not post anywhere else in the meantime. If a post is deleted or its URL changes on your site, a link that pointed at it will break, and HaloSEO cannot repair a link to a page that no longer exists. If your theme changes, the post keeps the theme it was published with until it is published again. When something breaks, the post is held rather than published half done.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to buy links. HaloSEO does not buy links. It is not right for you if you want links to sites we do not publish to, because we only link to your own posts. It is not right for you if you want a link placed where the sentence does not read naturally, because we place a link only where it does. And it is not right for you if you need a promised ranking or a date, because we do not control search engines and do not promise either.
