AI Visibility Reports for Squarespace
HaloSEO connects to your Squarespace site, publishes posts in your own theme, and reports on how you show up on Google and in AI search. Here is how the connection works and what to expect.
How HaloSEO connects to Squarespace
You connect your Squarespace site once, from inside HaloSEO. Squarespace gives HaloSEO a scoped connection to your site through its own authorisation flow. HaloSEO needs permission to read your site structure and to create and edit blog posts. It does not need your Squarespace password, and it does not need access to your store, orders, members or billing. You can revoke the connection from your Squarespace settings at any time, and publishing stops the moment you do.
What a published post looks like on your Squarespace site
HaloSEO publishes through the Squarespace blog, so every post uses your site's own theme. Headings, body text, links and images take on your fonts, colours and spacing. There is no separate HaloSEO template and no widget to embed. The post appears in your blog collection like any post you write yourself, with a title, a URL slug, a publish date and a featured image. You can edit it in the Squarespace editor afterwards, and your edits stay.
What happens on Squarespace that does not happen elsewhere
Squarespace handles URLs and sitemaps for you, so HaloSEO works within that structure rather than rewriting it. Posts go into your existing blog collection, which means your navigation, archive pages and related post blocks pick them up without extra setup. Squarespace also manages image delivery and responsive sizing, so the images HaloSEO adds are served at the sizes your theme asks for. Internal links are written against the pages that already exist on your site, checked before publishing.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The most common failure is a revoked or expired connection. When that happens, HaloSEO stops publishing and flags the site in your dashboard. Nothing is published half finished. If a post fails to publish, it stays in the queue and is retried after the connection is restored. If your theme changes and a block no longer accepts the content, the post is held and you get a notice rather than a broken page. Scheduled posts that miss their slot are published late, not dropped.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to write every post by hand and only need a report. It is not right for you if your Squarespace site is a single landing page with no blog, because there is nowhere for posts to go. It is not right for you if you need approval from a legal or brand team before anything goes live, unless you plan to review the queue before each publish. And it is not right for you if you expect a fixed ranking or a fixed timeframe. We report what we measure, and we do not promise positions we have not seen.
