Keyword Research for Wix

HaloSEO connects to your Wix site, researches the keywords, writes the posts, publishes them and links them up. This page explains how that works on Wix, and what to expect when something goes wrong.

How HaloSEO connects to Wix

You connect your Wix site once, from inside HaloSEO. The connection uses Wix's own app permission screen, so you see the exact access being requested before you approve it. HaloSEO needs permission to read your site content and to create and publish blog posts. It does not need access to your store orders, your customer list or your payment settings. You can revoke the connection from your Wix account at any time, and publishing stops as soon as you do.

What a published post looks like on your Wix site

HaloSEO publishes through the Wix blog, so every post uses your site's own theme. Headings, body text, links and images take on the fonts, colours and spacing you have already set. There is no separate HaloSEO template and no widget to style. The post appears in your blog feed like any other post, and it can be edited in the Wix editor afterwards. If you change your theme later, the published posts follow the change.

What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere

Wix keeps its own URL structure and its own sitemap, and HaloSEO works within both rather than around them. Posts are created as native Wix blog posts, so Wix search, categories and related post features keep working. Internal links are added between posts that already live on your Wix site, using the URLs Wix has assigned. Nothing is published to a separate subdomain or a staging area that you then have to move.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The most common failure is a revoked or expired connection. When that happens, HaloSEO stops publishing and flags the site in your dashboard. Nothing is published half finished. If a post fails to publish, it stays in the queue and is retried, and you can see the error in the dashboard. If your Wix plan or blog app changes in a way that blocks publishing, the same applies: publishing pauses and you get a clear message rather than a silent gap.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live. HaloSEO is built to publish on a schedule, and reviewing each post by hand removes most of the point. It is also not right for sites that are not on Wix, or for anyone who wants a one off keyword report rather than a publishing system. If you need full editorial control over every sentence, use a writer and a keyword tool instead.
